What happened?
Way back in December 2019, Lynn contacted us in search of 2 comfortable, modern apartments for her soon-to-be-arriving Austrian engineering colleagues.
Having recently won the contract to provide Urban Outfitters' new Peterborough Warehouse with their automated FlashPick® system, TGW's relocation plan for their team was a priority.
Having been with TGW for over 8 years, Lynn had a clear list of requirements in mind that we had to meet, starting with a potential 6 month booking, plus flexible cancellation and extension terms.
How did we help?
First, the 2 apartments needed to be close to each other as the guys would be carpooling, and they needed to be located within 10 minutes of the warehouse site at Gateway Peterborough, Alwalton Hill, near the A1.
We selected our Kirkwood Close apartments as the best fit, meeting Lynn's requirements, plus her colleagues expectations of quality, while also offering the option to extend past the initial 6 months.
Second, we applied for and passed TGW's new supplier verification process which called on us to demonstrate our positive track record.
Finally, we presented Lynn with a top-line, executive proposal which she could relay to senior management, including an overview of our services, property specifications, locations, travel plans for the team, and bookings terms.
Lynn and the team at TGW were delighted with our solutions and, following acceptance of our proposal, we personally gave a warm welcome to her Austrian colleagues on their arrival here in Peterborough.
Our team remained on-hand throughout their stay to share our knowledge of the city, helping them settle into the area and feel supported.
As well as providing 2 high-quality serviced apartments, for which Lynn received great feedback from her colleagues, our in-house-developed 2 stage cleaning process helped make a big difference to TGW's accommodation experience.
Little did any of us expect that only a few weeks after Lynn's colleagues arrived, in late March 2020, the UK would experience unprecedented restrictions on travel, work and social interaction.
What was the result for Lynn?
With TGW's construction work allowed to continue through 2020 and into 2021, our team worked diligently throughout the year to continue providing safe, consistent cleaning and housekeeping for Lynn's colleagues, helping ensure TGW's work for Urban Outfitters Peterborough could continue uninterrupted.
The learnings and hard work put in by our in-house team during this time helped us build the foundation to launch Cleaner Peterborough Ltd the following year.
Since then, we continue to provide full cleaning services for our clients, as well as Peterborough's top national and independent letting agents, local landlords, and homeowners.
Over the next 15 months, we extended Lynn's initial booking and continued to safely support the TGW team as colleagues with different skills came in to replace and continue the work of the first 2 engineers.
With their work at Urban Outfitters' Peterborough Gateway Warehouse completing in Summer of 2021, we thanked Lynn in person at TGW's Market Harborough head office, and signed off on another successful corporate accommodation booking here in Peterborough.

What happened?
In the weeks leading up to her 6 month UK assignment, Virginia-based Brynn had been emailing a selection of Cambridgeshire accommodation operators to check availability.
As her upcoming work was based a short drive from Peterborough, Brynn had plenty of accommodation options to choose from, including in nearby Cambridge and Stamford.
However, after not receiving many replies to her first round of emails, Brynn searched again for Peterborough and found Midlands Managed Properties.

First, we listed off Brynn's must-haves; a spacious living room in which she could relax and entertain friends, comfortable areas in which to work from home, solid WiFi, quality beds, and easily-accessible private parking.
Importantly, Brynn also needed to know that when mom flew over to visit for a couple of weeks, our team would be there to welcome her and make her stay as equally comfortable.

With everything booked, Brynn arrived at Yorkshire House on the Saturday after a long flight and taxi up from London Heathrow airport.
Arriving to be greeted at the entrance to her apartment, our team helped her with luggage and guided her through to her apartment, making the start to her stay relaxing and special.
After touring her apartment's facilities we handed Brynn her keys and shared some amazing local foodie options which have become our personal favourites over the years!
Our housekeeping team followed up to confirm the cleaning and linen schedule at Brynn's apartment, and she settled in with reassurance that our team are available directly, 7 days a week, in person, by phone and Whatsapp.
What was the result for Brynn?
Brynn loved her apartment, and agreed it was an excellent choice especially compared to other options she had considered, both locally and across Cambridgeshire.
What's more, she was delighted to find that we go a long way to exceed our guest's expectation of our properties and our service, and when her work contract extended there was no hesitation in requesting that we extend her booking.
In fact, Brynn has since gone on to recommend us to 6 of her colleagues who, like her, have traveled to Peterborough looking for a high-quality accommodation experience.

What happened?
Kennedy called us back in April 2022 after finding us online and reading our growing track record of positive Google Reviews from tradespeople and professionals.
The team at ENCO were in search of the right people to provide Peterborough serviced accommodation for their team of Yorkshire-based engineers who would soon be arriving to start a 6 month contract.
The initial team of four would occasionally include a fifth guest, and other members of the ENCO team would rotate in and out of the area as and when the work required.
With this in mind, Kennedy needed reassurance that the right serviced accommodation operator would be flexible and understanding.
With the work taking place in the nearby village of Alconbury Hill, South of Peterborough, helping Kennedy choose the right property in the right area was also high on the list.
How did we help?
As a specialist long-stay serviced accommodation operator here in Peterborough we know that engineering and construction projects require contractors to be flexible and to move quickly.
It's because of this that we were able to offer Kennedy the same flexibility for her booking with us, including the option to extend towards the end of the year if needed.
On reviewing Kennedy's requirements for the team, we knew straight away that we had the right property for her.
That's because our large five bed house at Vale Drive, Hampton, features proper framed double beds in all rooms, three bathrooms, a large open plan lounge with separate dining room, and a big kitchen with two full size fridges and two microwaves.
Our house was perfect for up to five guys to share comfortably while enjoying plenty of personal space and privacy!
Kennedy agreed that we had the right property for the team, and what's more the clean, spacious location of Hampton Vale, with lots of nearby green spaces, lakes and walks, would be perfect for a hard-working team staying here in the city.
The large, private rear garden, garage, and private parking also helped make it a clear winner.
And because our house at Vale Drive had been popular with another five-man electrical engineering team, Kennedy could book her first 6 months with us with confidence.
Kennedy shared our details with the team and management, who agreed we were the right people for the job.
Just to be sure though, ENCO's Managing Director, Jamie Moody, called Damien to talk through the accommodation setup and, after their chat, Jamie confirmed that he could trust the job and his team's accommodation to us.
It was clear that Jamie takes personal interest in his team's welfare, and we were the right team to take on that responsibility.
What was the result for Kennedy?
Our team here at Midlands Managed Properties helped make all aspects of ENCO's stay simple and easy, from check-in and guidance on house facilities, to flexible weekly housekeeping which ensured new team members arrived to freshly made beds.
We provided ENCO with comfortable, spotlessly clean accommodation and responsive, personal service when needed,
That meant Kennedy knew her colleagues were being taken care of throughout their stay with us, and that they would truly look forward to coming home to one of our properties after a long day on site.
As ENCO's project progressed through to the end of Summer we kept up regular contact with Kennedy, and when the requirement for extensions came through we were there, ready to help.
Following the successful completion of the project, ENCO's team shared a goodbye with us and checked-out of our house at Vale Drive in early December.
Finally, Kennedy was happy to award us another five star review on Google, summing up her experience of booking her colleagues accommodation and working with us throughout the project.
